The Salewa Wildfire 2 Shoe Men in Black is a technical approach shoe with the Switchfit system, which converts the shoe between a walking fit and a precise climbing fit. Combined with climbing lacing to the toe and a Pomoca butyl rubber outsole, it is built for mountain approaches, scrambling and easy alpine climbing.

• Switchfit conversion: the system switches the shoe from hike mode to climb mode, tightening the heel and forefoot for edging without wearing a climbing fit all day.
• Climbing lacing: the lacing runs down towards the toes for fine adjustment where precision on small holds actually comes from.
• Pomoca outsole with butyl compound: the sticky rubber compound gives sensitivity and friction on rock rather than just tread grip on trail.
• 3F System with Kevlar cables: the lateral cable network links lacing, heel and sole for ankle support on loose ground.
• Reinforced TPU front rand: the rand protects the toe against scree and rock scuffing, which is what kills approach shoes first.
• Recycled mesh upper: the breathable upper is made from recycled synthetic mesh with a PFC free lining.
• MFF+ adjustable footbed: the Multi Fit Footbed lets you tune internal volume to the foot.
• Cushioning EVA midsole: enough underfoot comfort to walk in for hours before the climbing starts.
