The Salewa Pedroc 4 Durastretch Cargo Shorts are men's speed hiking shorts weighing 180 grams, built from Durastretch at 106 grams per square metre. Durastretch is the compromise the whole Pedroc line rests on: enough four way stretch to move fast on steep ground, enough weave density to survive scree and rock where a knit would not.

• Durastretch, 106 g per square metre: 88 percent polyamide and 12 percent elastane, woven rather than knitted, so it stretches in every direction and still resists abrasion.

• Two laser cut zipped cargo pockets: cut rather than sewn, so the pocket adds no seam bulk under a pack hipbelt.
