The Salewa Dyneema Sling in green is the 30 cm length of Salewa's 10 mm Dyneema sling, rated at 23 kN and weighing 15 grams. Salewa colour code the lengths, and green is the short one: the sling you use to extend a piece by a hand's width, not to build an anchor.

• Rated strength: 23 kN, certified to EN 566.
• 15 g: Dyneema is the reason a sling this strong weighs almost nothing.
• 10 mm wide: narrow and low bulk on a harness, but it does not sit as comfortably in the hand as nylon.
• Other lengths: Also made in 60 cm and 120 cm, colour coded differently.
• Dyneema needs care: it has a low melting point and does not hold knots as well as nylon, so it is a sewn sling and should stay one.
• Retire on condition: cut fibres, glazing or heavy fuzzing mean it is finished, regardless of age.
• Green means 30 cm
