Nikwax TX.Direct Spray-On is a spray on waterproofer for the outer fabric of waterproof breathable garments, including hardshell jackets, waterproof trousers and gloves. Restoring the beading on the face fabric is what lets the membrane breathe again, which is why a jacket that wets out feels clammy inside.

• For garment shell fabric: not for nubuck or suede footwear, not for down fill and not for base layers, each of which has its own Nikwax product.
• A proofer, not a cleaner: Tech Wash is the partner cleaner and is used first, in a separate wash.
• Treats only the outer face: the spray leaves a wicking liner untreated, which is the reason to choose it over the wash in version.
• Applied to clean wet fabric: spray from about 15 cm, wait four to five minutes, wipe off the surplus and hang to dry.
• Maintains breathability: the flexible treatment coats individual fibres rather than filming over the fabric.
• No heat needed: it dries at room temperature, and tumble drying is optional rather than required.
