The Salewa Trek Mate 65+5L Backpack in Shadow is a multi day trekking pack with a genuinely adjustable back length, a floating lid that adds five litres and a raincover in the box. At 65 litres it is sized for hut to hut routes and backpacking trips where everything has to be carried.

• 65 plus 5 litres: the height adjustable lid takes the total to 70 litres for the trips where food, sleeping bag and shelter all have to fit.
• Dry Back Custom adjustable back: the torso length adjusts from 46 to 60 cm, the widest range in the Salewa pack line, so the load actually sits on the hips.
• Ventilated padded back panel: the EVA panel with 3D channels moves air across the back on long, hot ascents under a heavy load.
• Full harness: anatomically shaped padded split shoulder straps, load lifter straps, a lumbar pad and a pre shaped hipfin.
• Three way access: a lidded top, a separate front compartment with fast access and a side opening into the main compartment.
• External carry: straps underneath take a mat or sleeping bag, with trekking pole holders, a daisy chain and side compression straps.
• Organised storage: a zipped waist belt pocket, a secure valuables pocket with a key ring and elastic side pockets.
• Raincover included: the cover comes with the pack, and the fabric carries a PFC free DWR finish.
• 1500 g in 420D and 750D polyester: 86 by 38 by 21 cm, compatible with the Salewa flask holder and smartphone pouch.
