Description

The Marker Duke PT 12 is a freeride touring binding that solves the problem from the downhill side: it is a full alpine binding whose toe piece can be removed for the climb. Release range is 4 to 12, and taking the toe jaw off saves roughly 300 grams per binding on the way up.

  • Release range 4 to 12
  • Removable toe jaw: the alpine upper jaw unlocks, tilts forward and comes off entirely, exposing a pin toe underneath for touring.
  • Weight: About 1150 g per binding in ski mode, around 850 to 880 g with the toe removed
  • Requires tech insert boots for the climb: the pin toe needs boots with tech fittings, even though the descent works with any compatible alpine sole.
  • Auto Quad Lock: the mechanism that locks the toe jaw back on for the descent.
  • Sole.ID compatibility: alpine ISO 5355, GripWalk ISO 23223 and touring ISO 9523 soles, plus tech inserts for uphill.
  • Superseded: Marker's current line is the Duke PT 13 and PT 16, so this is an earlier generation.
