Nikwax Wool Wash is a deodorising cleaner and conditioner for merino and other woollen garments, including base layers and socks. It cleans without masking odour with perfume and restores the wool's natural wicking so it dries faster. It is not for synthetics, and not for waterproof clothing.

• For wool, not synthetics: merino base layers and woollen sportswear. Nikwax specify BaseWash for synthetic base layers instead.
• Removes odour rather than covering it: the cleaner works on the odour build up itself rather than adding perfume over it.
• Restores wicking: treated wool moves moisture again and dries faster than a garment washed in ordinary detergent.
• Conditions the fibre: it softens the wool as it cleans, which is what keeps a merino layer comfortable next to the skin.
• Wash in: 50 ml into the machine dispenser, or 25 ml in 7.5 litres of warm water by hand.
• Not for waterproof clothing: shells need Tech Wash instead, and no fabric conditioner should be used alongside.
• For wool
