The Salewa Alpinist Long Bar is a longer replacement centre linking bar for Salewa Alpinist crampons, fitted in place of the standard bar so the crampon can be adjusted to a longer boot. It is a safety component, so it should only be used on the crampons Salewa list it for.

• Extends the adjustment range: the longer bar lets an Alpinist crampon fit a boot that the standard bar cannot reach.
• Listed compatibility: Salewa specify it for the Alpinist and Alpinist Alu crampons, and also for the Dru and Alunal.
• Direct replacement: it swaps for the standard centre bar rather than requiring any other change to the crampon.
• Do not fit to other crampons: a linking bar is load bearing, and a bar that is not made for a crampon can let it come off the boot.
